Welcome and thank you for being a part of this year’s Do It In Delphi Market! We are pleased to welcome vendors back for the 2025 season. We are very excited for the journey we are about to embark on together and appreciate all your time and patience it took getting here. Our team has put together this packet for you to ensure you have all the information you need and that our day-to-day operations run as smoothly as possible. Please take your time to carefully read over the information we have provided. If you have any questions in the future, please refer to this packet which will be discussed in detail below.

Do It In Delphi Market (DIID) will begin May 17th and continue through October around the Delphi Courthouse Square, on Franklin, and Washington St. The Do It In Delphi Market will occur the 3rd Saturday of the month and run from 10AM to 2PM.

Check in time for vendors is 9:00 AM at the Delphi Main Street Booth, on the corner of Washington. and Franklin St. All booths will need to face toward the courthouse as shoppers will approach from the sidewalk. Vendors can load and unload at their assigned space but must park off the square during Market hours. Restrooms are available in the gas station on Main Street.

 

Market Policies and Code of Conduct

 

The primary purpose of this Code of Conduct is to ensure the well-being of all participants and create a safe and welcoming environment for all. Our goal is to serve our community with love and respect and sponsor an event that will benefit both the vendors and customers.

-       Respect and adhere to all rules established by the DIID Market.

-       Comply with applicable town laws and ordinances.

-       Not willingly deceive or exploit customers.

-       Treat everyone with respect – Rude, violent, aggressive, uncooperative, belligerent, or threatening behavior towards others will not be tolerated.

-       Under no circumstances attend or participate in the DIID Market under the influence of alcohol and/or controlled substances.

Market Location and Schedule and Requirements:

The DID Market will operate from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM on the third Saturday of the month from May-October

-       May 17, June 21, July 19, August 16, September20, October 18

-       $15 per market - $75 for the year

 

Vendor Types and Requirements: 

Each Approved Vendor must sign up and pay vendor fees before each monthly market day. All Edible items must comply with current health department regulations and standards – https://www.in.gov/localhealth/carrollcounty/food-services/   Per CC DOH- Any food vendor should have a document on table and visible to public that reads: “This product is home produced and processed and the production area has not been inspected by the State Department of Health.”

Vendors must be able to provide documentation of all necessary permits, licenses, and approvals.

 

Grown/Collected Goods Vendor: Includes but not limited to fruits, vegetables, dried and fresh herbs, spices, seeds, cultured mushrooms, plants, flowers, potpourri, honey, maple syrup, eggs, un-popped popcorn, flour, and ground grains

Grown/Processed Goods Vendor: Processed food items made from items grown/processed by the vendor, including but not limited to baked goods, spices, jams, jellies, frozen fruits, relishes, cider, dried fruits and vegetables, salsa, frozen/preserved meat and dairy products are permitted for sale.

Prepared Food Vendor: Preparing and selling food at the Market is permitted, but must follow all health department guidelines and have proper permits/documentation. Edible items intended for human consumption must comply with current health department standards and regulations. All edible goods must be safe for human consumption. The vendor is solely responsible for any damages resulting from the sale of unsound and unsafe goods. If DID Market determines that a vendor is offering unsafe products, DID Market may require the vendor to

(1) remove low quality or unsafe items or (2) vacate the market.

Arts/Crafts Vendor: Items must be safe, have reasonable life expectancy, and exhibit quality and craftsmanship.

Community and Social-Political Groups: DIID Market allows non-profit organizations and community information groups to have space at the Market.

Vendor Spaces/Set Up and Tear Down: Vendor Spaces will be assigned by the Market Manager and a 10x10 space will be given to you upon arrival of Market.

Equipment: Vendors must supply all required equipment for operating but will not exceed the width of his/her designated stall space. This includes products, tents, tables, and displays. Items may not be sold out of the back of a vehicle.

Other Suggested Equipment:

-       Payment processing device and charger

-       Enough money to make change for shoppers in a safety box

-       Vendor Identification and Business Name Sign

-       Product Identification signs with pricing

-       Required Permits

-       Chairs

-       Any equipment to load and unload products and display

-       Cleaning supplies

 Electricity will not be provided on site at this time for vendors.

If a tent or shelter is used, it must be weighed down by 10lbs per tent leg to anchor it. No ground stakes will be allowed for tents or shelters.

 

Vendors can begin setting up an hour before the Market and are required to stay throughout the entirety of the market. Vendors will not be allowed to tear down early. Vendors can arrive at 8:00 AM and report to Delphi Main Street Booth, on the corner of Washington and Main St. to receive vendor space assignment.

 

Market Volunteers will be on site to help coordinate the process for safety and efficiency.

 Please contact the Market Manager if you are not unable to attend the Market at the last minute or will be late due to unforeseen circumstances.

 Vendors are required to clean up after themselves and make sure their assigned space is trash free.

 

Parking Requirements

 Vendors must park off the courthouse square during Market hours. Parking can be found on side streets and in the Regions parking lot.

Vendor Eligibility and Rules of Operation:

 Scales: If selling goods by weight, the vendor must supply a legal produce scale, which is subject to inspections by the Tippecanoe Health Department.

 Labeling: Vendors must label items they are selling with the item name, item price, and an identification of any items not locally produced

-       Food Vendors require company name/vendor name, address where it was produced, list of ingredients, date or production and total pkg weight (if applicable). All food items must include the below statement

-       “This product is home produced and processed and the production area has not been inspected by the State Department of Health.”

 Weather Procedures: The safety of everyone present at the market is of primary importance. Potentially threatening weather will be monitored and vendors will be informed if we believe vendors or attendees are in danger.

In the event of inclement weather, vendors will be notified and safety procedures will be followed. In the event of an emergency closing please secure your tent/produce as quickly as possible and seek shelter. It is possible the market will reopen if the weather clears in time and no permanent damage has been done.

 If by 7:30 AM on Farmer’s Market Day we believe dangerous weather will affect the Summer’s Market, we will either postpone or cancel and inform vendors as soon as possible.

 

Violations/Non-Compliance: If DID Market determines that a vendor is selling products from a third-party member or not adhering to Health Department Regulations and Requirements, we will ask that vendor to leave. No vendor fees will be refunded. Unsafe or illegal conduct will not be tolerated and DIID Market will immediately be asked to leave and future involvement at the Market will not be approved. No vendor fees will be refunded. If codes of conduct are broken, DID Market has the right to ask a vendor to leave the premises at that time or can decide not to approve the vendor in future events.

 Grievance: Our goal is to communicate often and openly. If you have any concerns or grievances, please reach out to the Market Manager/Volunteers to discuss matters and work to find a solution.

 Indemnification:

By signing this contract, each vendor at the Do It In Delphi Market agrees to fully indemnify, hold harmless, release, waive, and forever discharge Delphi Main Street, The City of Delphi, Do It In Delphi Market and its agents and employees; and the Market Manager for all bodily and personal injury, including resulting in death, and property damage, claims, actions, damages, liabilities and expenses, including reasonable attorney’s fees and court costs, which may occur as a result of vendor’s participation in the Market, whether or not sounding in tort or contract, and whether or not caused by neglect act or omission of the City of Delphi and its agents, employees and market manager.

 

By signing up for the Do It In Delphi Market Series, you as a Vendor agrees to comply with the 2025 Do It In Delphi Market Guidelines and Requirements listed above and strive to adhere to our code of conduct.
